Two years on from the catastrophic fires of Black Summer, the forests, people and wildlife are still recovering. But the Victorian Government’s own logging company, VicForests, has continued logging the remaining unburnt native forests as if it was business as usual.
In January 2020 as the scale and impact of the bushfires was just being revealed, Wildlife of the Central Highlands (WOTCH) launched an urgent Supreme Court action to protect the habitat of some of our threatened species most severely impacted by the bushfires.
WOTCH needs your help to raise $55,000 for expert scientific witnesses to contribute to the case. Your support will cover court and other legal fees to make sure we can put the best case forward to protect native habitat.
Donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
