This is just the tip of the iceberg, with an explosion of land clearing occurring in the Northern Territory with little scrutiny.

Unlike every other state and territory in Australia, the NT does not have specific native vegetation laws or a biodiversity conservation strategy.

Together we can:

• Run game-changing litigation and legal interventions to defend the vital ecosystems we depend on for life
• Hold governments and corporations accountable by asking them to properly enforce current national environment laws that already prohibit land clearing likely to significantly impact threatened plants and animals
• Build public pressure with advocacy campaigns calling on Minister Plibersek to make sure the next generation of national environment laws prohibit destructive land clearing and bring an end to the god-like powers that allow Ministers to wave through destructive projects
