The Victorian Environmental Assessment Council (VEAC) is undertaking a Marine Investigation. This investigation will run until 2014 in various stages and will review how Victoria's marine protected areas (comprising some 11.7% of all Victorian waters) are being managed, and what threats and challenges they face.
Our June 2012 submission highlights some of the legal concerns with existing processes and will inform the scope of VEAC's discussion paper, due to be released later in 2012.
