Right now, instead of protecting our native animals and their habitat, Victoria’s wildlife laws are enabling their decline. These laws are not strong enough or designed effectively to protect our precious wildlife from serious threats like land clearing, pollution and climate change.
The Independent Review of Victoria’s Wildlife Act 1975 is an opportunity to overhaul our outdated wildlife protections, and call for stronger protections for our native animals.
