The Victorian government has released a consultation paper on possible reforms to the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988. The government is calling for submissions by 28 March 2017.
This briefing paper sets out our response to the government’s proposal with detailed analysis of:
- the changes we support in principle
- the changes we don’t support, and
- what is missing.
The consultation, including how to submit, can be found on the Engage Victoria site.
