The review of the Act (November 2011)
On 22 October 2011, the State Government announced a review of the Climate Change Act 2010 (Vic). The terms of the Act require a review upon the introduction of a national emissions trading scheme. According to the Minister, the focus of the review will be to ‘avoid duplication and minimise the waste of Victorian resources’.

Information on the passing of the Act (July 2010)
The Victorian Climate Change Act was passed by Parliament on 3 September 2010. The Act implemented some of the measures announced in the Climate Change White Paper which was released 2 August 2010.
