Environmental Justice Australia in conjunction with CounterAct recently celebrated the launch of the Campaigners’ Handbook – for coal and gas campaigners.
The handbook is a comprehensive publication intended to empower and inform anyone from farmers to city based activists on their rights, It explains the law in an easy-to-read format in relation to protesting coal and unconventional gas developments.
Its purpose is to help you understand your rights and what risks you might be taking, including when you could be arrested and what you could be charged with, if you choose to participate in protests and other actions.
